Rule 171
Auditing

(1) The chairman of the management committee and the principal must have the school audited every year by an auditor appointed by the district education office.
(2) In the course of the audit, the headmaster should allow the school's income and expenditure books to be checked when requested by the auditor, and he should also give an accurate answer to the stakeholders regarding the fact that he has paid the salary.
(3) The staff assigned by the Accounts Directorate or the District Education Office can inquire about the income and expenditure of the school at any time. It will be the duty of the principal to show the details requested by the employee during the investigation.
(4) In accordance with this rule, the auditor shall discuss with the officials of the school management committee about the income and expenses of the school, in addition to other things, and prepare his report.
(5) The headmaster should hold a meeting of teachers and parents and send such report and balance sheet to the district education office regularly.
